Savigny-les Beauneles Grands Picotins

This plot of 1 hectare was planted over time – in 1948, 1966, 1982, 1991, 2007 and 2018.
The terroir is quite distinct, lying at the mouth of the Combes of Savigny and Pernand Vergelesses, with the notable presence of smooth pebbles that promote soil drainage. Naturally, this is taken into account when assessing the quality of the soil for the cultivation of vines. These wines are, therefore, particularly well rounded and rich. The nose is a mix of beautiful notes of flowers, fruits (cherry, strawberry) and vanilla. The palate takes up these fragrances, and is enhanced by good balance.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested manually and first sorted at the plot. A second sorting is carried out in the vat room.
Then, maceration and the monitoring of alcoholic fermentation follow, which allow for the expression of the complexity and power of this Savigny terroir.

Maturation

The grapes are then pressed, and the wine is transferred to barrels. Maturation lasts from 12 to 18 months depending on the vintage.
